Orthodox Calendar
The life of the Orthodox Christian is inseparably bound to the church calendar. It includes feasts dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Most Holy Mother of God, the saints, and events from biblical history.
The greatest feast is the Resurrection of Christ (Pascha) – the feast of feasts. The calendar also includes fasts, which prepare the faithful for the great feasts and strengthen spiritual life.
